My Stitch Journal
I used to journal a LOT when I was in my early 20s. Long-form journal entries about my day, my feelings, devotionals, Scriptures and sermons that really were really speaking to me - that sort of thing was my jam for about four straight years.
But these days, “gratitude journals” and “habit tracking” are pretty much my jam. I even have a ‘template’ for my cross stitch work.
I love the feeling of accomplishment when I finish a project. But life happens and sometimes it takes a long time to actually finish it, so I love seeing my progress along the way. It keeps me motivated. And when I’m having a bad day or going through a rough patch, when I see those blank white boxes, it motivates me to pick up my needle and just do a few stitches, if for no other reason than to fill in the box for the day ;)
My preferred tools:
Dot Journal (I prefer dot grids and get my journals from Michaels for like $6)
Pens (The colored ones are Pilot Frixion Pens. The black pen is a Pilot Precise V5 pen - The V5 is an extra fine tip; I like very fine lines when I write)
